Connect4AI is written and maintained by the Connect4AI editorial team, part of the Connect4Techs network. This page explains exactly how we collect facts, how we rank tools, and how we keep pages up to date — so you can judge how much to trust what you read here.
1. Where our facts come from
- Official sources first: vendor pricing pages, model cards, documentation, release notes and official announcements.
- Independent leaderboards (for example Artificial Analysis) for benchmark and arena scores, labelled as such.
- Reputable press only to discover news, then confirmed on the vendor’s own pages whenever possible.
- Every tool, model and news page lists the sources we used at the bottom.
2. What we never do
- We never estimate or invent a price, date or score. If we cannot confirm something, we leave it empty or mark it as unconfirmed.
- We never present a vendor’s own benchmark claims as independent results — we say when a number is vendor-reported.
- Listings and rankings are not paid for. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled.
3. How we rank tools (“Best AI for…”)
Each ranking is built for one job (for example coding or video generation). We compare the tools that actually do that job using their verified records: what the free plan includes, the starting price and how usage is billed, the models behind the product, platforms and integrations, and the limits users run into. Every pick comes with a short reason, and the right choice always depends on your situation — so we say who each option is best for instead of declaring one universal winner.
4. How we read benchmarks
Labs run tests with different settings (reasoning effort, tool access, number of attempts), so small gaps rarely matter. We show scores side by side with their source, explain what each test measures, and recommend testing models on your own tasks before deciding. Read more in How to read AI benchmarks.
5. Keeping pages up to date
- Each record shows the date its facts were last checked (“Last reviewed”).
- Every week we re-check a rotating part of the tools and models against their official pages, and update prices, plans and model status when they change.
- News is written from official announcements, usually within a day or two.
6. Arabic edition
The Arabic pages are written natively in Arabic by our team from the same verified facts — they are not machine translations of the English pages.
